Tomorrow Mousam Update : The well-marked low-pressure area over Central parts of north Madhya Pradesh has moved westwards and intensified into a depression. It is expected to move in West Southwest direction and intensive further into a deep depression over South Rajasthan and adjoining North Gujarat by August 27.
Thereafter it will continue to move in the West-Southwest direction and emerge into the Northeast Arabian Sea off Saurashtra and Kutch and South Pakistan coast around August 29.
The cyclonic circulation is over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Bangladesh extending up to middle tropospheric levels, under its influence a low -pressure area is expected to develop over the same region during the next 24 hours and move in the West-Northwest direction across Gangetic West Bengal, North Orissa, and Jharkhand during next 2 days.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Jaisalmer, Kota, the centre of the depression, Daltonganj, Digha and then in a southeast direction to the Northeast Bay of Bengal.
The offshore trough from South Gujarat to the South Kerala coast persists.

During the last 24 hours, Moderate to heavy rain with one or two very heavy spells occurred over southeast Gujarat Konkan Goa and coastal Karnataka.
Moderate to heavy rain occurred over many parts of Madhya Pradesh, parts of East and South Rajasthan, and Vidarbha.
Light to moderate rain occurred over Saurashtra and Kutch, West Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep, West Bengal, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sikkim.
Light rain occurred over Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, coastal Odisha, and Bihar.

During the next 24 hours, Heavy to very heavy rain is possible over south and Central Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, north Konkan and Goa, North Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
Moderate to heavy rain is possible over Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Gangetic West Bengal, and parts of Odisha.
Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells may occur over Vidarbha.
Light to motor rain is possible over northeast India, Sikkim, Sub Himalaya West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, East MP, parts of Telangana, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
These states include Western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Western Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep which are likely to receive heavy rainfall tomorrow.
